HHS Marching Band achieves its highest-ever placing at PIMBA Championships
HTSD congratulates the Hampton High School Marching Band for setting new school records at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Marching Band Association (PIMBA) Championships on Saturday, Oct. 22, at Norwin High School.
Hampton finished in fourth place out of 17 bands, the band’s highest placing in its history. Hampton also broke last year's high score by over 4 points with a score of 90.375, one of only four bands at the competition to eclipse 90.
“For comparison, 10 years ago Hampton was scoring in the 60's, and Hampton's first year competing was in 2016 with a score of 80.55,” said Chad Himmler, Band Director. “Hampton's show this year was a blast to perform and to watch and depicted zombies taking over a high school prom. Congratulations to the students in the band for achieving higher than ever before!”
