HMS 7th graders write 'Be the Change' editorials

Students in Hampton Middle School's "Be the Change" interdisciplinary unit learn about the importance of attention and empathy to global challenges.

Each year, students in Mrs. Catherine Close and Mr. Jason Moore's (substitute for Mr. David Hartman) 7th grade English classes composed editorials based on a global challenge of their choice, after understanding the background on the issues and researching them in history class.
