HTSD Board of School Directors recognizes fall athletes

The Hampton Township School District Board of School Directors during its annual reorganization meeting on Dec. 5 recognized and congratulated the following students and athletic teams: 

  • Leah McConnell who was nominated by Mr. Cardone and selected to sing the national anthem at the WPIAL Class 4A Football Championship at Acrisure Stadium on November 25, 2022.

  • Members of the Hampton High School Cheerleaders for their exceptional spirit displayed throughout the football season. When the lights went out during a football game at Fridley Field, the cheerleaders kept the fans entertained with their spirited cheers and sparkling energy. In addition, the members of the competitive cheerleaders earned a bid to Nationals at Disney World in Florida this February:  Lillie BillEmma Clarke, Maria Coleman, Brianna DeSabato, Justyce Fink, Gabriella Imbarlina, Jessica Lange, Alyssa Lauria, Laynie Loebig, Olivia Mayer, Haley Meyer, Keira Palmer, Ashley Rupert, Peyton Straub, Anna Stroud, and Emily Wenger.

  • Members of the Boys Cross Country team on winning the Class 2A, Section 4 Championship, WPIAL Championship, and placing fourth at the PIAA State Championships:  Christopher Belch, Jacob Bonnar, Lian Butler, Nathan GardnerDale Hall, Layne Haught, and Miles McKinney.

  • The following runners on their individual achievements: 

    • Dale Hall who placed 14th at State and 5th at WPIALs.

    • Christopher Belch who placed 9th at WPIALs.

    • Jacob Bonnar who placed 13th at WPIALs.

  • The following members of the Girls Cross Country team for their individual achievements, along with winning the Class 2A, Section 4 Championship: 

    • Ava Vitiello who placed 16th at State and placed 5th at WPIALs.

    • Kevyn Fish who placed 6th at WPIALs.

  • The Varsity Football team for qualifying for the WPIAL playoffs and the following student athletes for their individual accomplishments: 

    • First Team: Aiden Lewis (Guard), Gabe Gannelli (Defensive End), Ben Haselrig (Receiver), Gabe Harris (Defensive Line), Brock Borgo (Running Back), Eric Weeks (All Purpose Back), and Joey Mayer (Defensive Back).

    • Second Team: Michael Morgano (Inside Linebacker), Luke Hartle (Defensive Back), and Luke Fiscus (Kicker).

    • Honorable Mention: Mike Santorello (Inside Linebacker), Kaden Hoolahan (Center), Gryffin Keller (Defensive Line), and Nate Glock (Tackle).

  • Members of the Boys and Girls Soccer Teams who both qualified for WPIAL playoffs. The following athletes received individual honors:

Boys Soccer

  • Luke Fiscus and Coleman Docherty, who were selected to the All-WPIAL and All-Section Teams.

  • Oliver Spinola and Conner Killmeyer who were selected to the All-Section Team.

  • Hudson Struble who received an All-Section Team Honorable Mention.

Girls Soccer

  • Audrey Bianco, Madison Hurst, and Skye Bierker who were selected to the All-WPIAL and All-Section Teams.

  • Sara Kenst, who was selected to the All-Section Team.

 

  • Girls Varsity Volleyball Team for being Class 3A, Section 1 champions and for qualifying for the WPIAL playoffs. The Board recognized the following athletes selected to the All-Section or All-WPIAL teams:

    • Emmy Schrom, who was selected to the All-Section First Team and the All-WPIAL First Team.

    • Avery Koontz, who was selected to the All-Section First Team and the All-WPIAL Second Team.

    • Addy Gindlesperger who was selected to the All-Section First Team and the All-WPIAL Third Team.

    • Emma Rick who was selected to the All-Section First Team.

    • Lilly Muczinski and Allison Schepner who were selected to the All-Section Second Team.

    • Maya Obendorfer who was selected to the All-Section Third Team.

  • Joey O’Donnell who qualified for the WPIAL Golf Championship. 

  • Grace Stitt who qualified for WPIAL Tennis Championship in singles play, and both Grace Stitt and Heidi Kroneberg who qualified for WPIALs in doubles play.
