Talbot Thon fundraiser for Children's Hospital returns March 25

Zachary D'Amico

HTSD is thrilled to announce that Talbot Thon is back!

The fundraiser event is slated for March 25 at Hampton High School. Money raised will go towards the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation. HHS Student Council is partnering with Pitt Dance Marathon to reach their goal of raising $40,000 to support children with cancer.

This year’s event, which runs from 3:45 to 11:30 p.m., will feature face painting, karaoke, wing and pie eating contests, Zumba, desserts, dodgeball, volleyball, raffles, and more. There will also be community hours (5-7 p.m.) where members of the community can purchase food from several food trucks, including Los Chicos, Oakmont BBQ and D & L’s Handcrafted Deli, and take a peak at Talbot Thon.

A 3-on-3 basketball tournament will take place on Friday, March 11, with registration fees helping raise money for Children’s Hospital.

Pasquale’s Pizzeria is donating part of its proceeds to Talbot Thon on March 14. On March 16, Primanti’s in Allison Park will donate 20% of its proceeds to Talbot Thon. Community members can eat at the restaurant from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. to help out a great cause.

T-shirts are being sold to help support the cause, too.
