Health

Hampton Township School District employs school nurses and health office nurses to provide a safe and healthy educational environment in our schools. Our school nurses are registered nurses and Pennsylvania certified school nurses.

With the assistance of the health office nurses, our school nurses complete required state health screenings and examinations of students; maintain accurate student health records; provide preventative health care information to staff, students, and parents; and treat minor student and staff illnesses and accidents during the school day.

Annual Health Screenings

Annual health screenings have been completed for the 2024-2025 school year.  Below is the list of assessments completed at each grade level:

  • Height, weight, and BMI: All grades K-12

  • Vision: All grades K-12

  • Hearing: Grades K-3, 7, and 11

  • Scoliosis: Grades 6-7

If you have not heard from your child’s school nurse, your child has passed their yearly screenings.

A Body Mass Index (BMI)-for-age percentile has been calculated as part of the assessment process. This measure helps evaluate your child’s growth and development in relation to their age and peers. If you would like to know your child’s current height, weight, or BMI results, please get in touch with your child’s school nurse for more information.
